ABSTRACTInthispaper,findthelocationofthefaceregions，thendetectandlocatetheeyesandmouthintheexistedfaceregionsandtargettheimportantcharacteristicsoftherelevantpoints，suchas：regionalcenter,eyescomers，andmouthcomers．Mainresearchmethodsareasfollows：(1)Proposeanewapproachtosegmentthefaceregions．Currently,thefaceregionalsegmentationmainlyreliesonskincolorspaceincertainspecificcharacteristicsofthecluster．Butthelightofthefaceiseasilyimpactedbythelightoftheenvironment，whichcausesunevenbrightness oftheface．Andwhentherearebackgroundswithsimilarcolorwiththeskinorexistencesofmultipleskinregions，itisdifficulttoaccurately positioningfaceregion．Thispaperproposesusingfacecontourandfacialfeaturesshowthedistributionoftriangularpositiontolocatetheface regions，whichcanwellavoidtheabove—mentionedimpact．(2)Proposeanewapproachtolocatetheeyesandtheircharacteristics．Inthebinaryimages，todetecteyesinthefirsthalfofthefaceregion，thiscanshortthetestingtime．UsingtheMinimumEnclosingRectangle(MER)todescribethecontoursoftheregions，andlocatingtheeyesregionsbasedonthelengthandwidthratioandthelocation，consistencyandotherconstraintsdistinctionbetweentheeyesandeyebrows，hairregion．Andfindthecenteroftheeyesusingtheareacentroid．Then，locatetheexactpositionofthepupilscomersusingHarriscomer detectionalgorithm based on the filling algorithm andmorphologicalcloseoperation．(3)Propose anewapproachtolocatethemouthanditscharacteristics．Changingthesecondhalfofthefaceregionsintobinaryones，whichcanmuchcompletelysavethemouthcontours．Thenusing theMinimumEnclosingRectangletodescribethecontoursoftheregions，andlocatingthemouthregionsbasedonthelengthandwidthratioandthelocationinformation，andfindthecenteroftheeyesusingtheareacentroid．Finally，locatethemouthcomersusingHarriscomerdetectionalgorithmbasedonthefillingalgorithmandmorphologicalcloseoperation．Accordingtomanytests，thealgorithmcaneasilyandaccuratelydetectthetargets．Especially,themethodoffacesegmentationwell resolvestheproblemsofthatrelyontheclustersoftheskin．Usingthefill
