AbstractOur country has been actively involved in the economic system reform. With the development of market economy, the number of private enterprise is rapidly increasing. Labor relations become increasingly elaborate, the economic contractions that have been covered for a long time appear gradually, which lead to the rapid surge in labor dispute. Labor disputes are unavoidable, although they are non-confrontation contradictions, if handled improper, it will have a negative impact on employees, enterprises and society and will be not conducive to construct harmonious society. The surge in labor dispute proposes severe challenges to the mechanism of labor disputes resolutio n. Meditation, known as the first line of settling labor disputes, because of its problems and defects, can not play an effective role, which cause lots of labor dispute cases into arbitration and litigation. So based on the analysis and understanding of defects of meditation, we should rethink profoundly and reform the meditation. O ur country is building a harmonious society. Against this background, social work, as a major solving social issues and promoting social development, plays a significant part in helping social vulnerable group and maintain social fairness and justice. Social work in enterprise is an important branch of social work and a new practice field, aiming to help employees relieving labor disputes, maintaining staff rights, stimulating labor’s enthusiasm, having a function of eliminating contradictions, improving employee welfare and production efficiency.Based on this, the author practice at a enterprise social work project team since 8, 2011 to 10, 2011 at Shenzhen, Guangdong. During this period, the author collected some typical cases. These cases discuss the skills, values, role definition of the social work in enterprise in participating in meditation.
