PREPARATION OF SAFETY DATA SHEETS FOR HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS Code of Practice  This code of practice has been approved by the Tasmanian Minister for Workplace Relations under section 274 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and commences on 1 January 2013. This code of practice is based on a national model code of practice developed by Safe Work Australia as part of the harmonisation of work health and safety laws under the Council of Australian Governments’ Inter-governmental Agreement for Regulatory and Operational Reform in Occupational Health and Safety. Safe Work Australia consists of representatives of the Commonwealth, state and territory governments, the Australian Council of Trade Unions, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Australian Industry Group.
