名词性从句是重要的语法项目之一，也是写作中常用的高级表达之一。引导名词性从句常见的连接词有： 1．连接词that, if, whether等 这些连接词在名词性从句中都不作成分，只起连接作用。that没有任何意思；if和whether有“是否”的意思。 2．连接代词what, which, who, whom, whose等 连接代词可在名词性从句中作主语、宾语、表语、定语等。 3．连接副词when, where, why, how等 连接副词在名词性从句中作状语。 下面我们主要从写作角度谈谈名词性从句。 一、主语从句 主语从句就是在复合句中充当主语的从句。 [例]　Will we have the sports meeting? It depends on the weather. 合并成含主语从句的句子： Whether well have the sports meeting depends on the weather. 我们是否开运动会取决于天气。 [点津]　有时为了避免头重脚轻，可用it作形式主语，而把真正的主语后置。 Its still uncertain who will be sent to attend the meeting on behalf of the manager. 谁将被派去代表经理开会还没有确定。 It doesnt matter whether he comes to my party or not. 他来不来参加我的聚会都没有关系。 二、宾语从句 宾语从句就是在复合句中充当宾语的从句。 [例]　We should work hard in order to go to a famous university. The teacher often tells us it. 合并成含有宾语从句的句子： The teacher often tells us that we should work hard in order to go to a famous university. 老师经常告诉我们要好好学习以便上一所著名的大学。 [点津]　如果宾语从句跟有宾语补足语，一般要用it作形式宾语，而把宾语从句后置。 We considered it over and over again when we would hold the celebration. 我们一遍又一遍地考虑什么时候举行庆祝活动。 三、表语从句 跟在系动词后面作表语的从句叫作表语从句。 The point is that we should send some school supplies or items to those disaster areas so as to express our love. 关键是我们应该送一些物品或学习用品给那些灾区，来表达我们的爱心。 The chance is that one smoker in four will die from smoking. 每四个吸烟者当中就有一个可能会因吸烟而死亡。 四、同位语从句 有些名词的后面可以跟从句，说明这个名词的内容，这样的从句叫作同位语从句。 There is some doubt whether or not he is coming on time this afternoon. 不知道他今天下午是否会准时过来。 The leading factor is the increasing number of cars, but we cant ignore the fact that the road conditions are extremely terrible. 主要因素是日益增长的小汽车，但是，我们不能忽略道路状况极其糟糕这个事实。 Ⅰ.合并句子 将下面各题中的句子合并为一个含有名词性从句的主从复合句 1．a.
