Abstract
Local Geography geography teaching is an important part,since the date of birth of modern geography area to lay its proper position in the geography. With the New Basic Education Reform to promote and deepen , local geography has been a new
development , geography curriculum standards more prominent local geography. Therefore , the development and implementation of Local Geography Teaching materials become an important issue. In theory,any subject can be a patriotic love of
home education,but local geography is more effective. To the students love home, students will make the home a sense of belonging. To generate a sense of belonging to the homeland , we have to be aware of home. Local geography education is an important means of home students a sense of belonging. In the local geography
teaching,deeper understanding by students around the geographical environment, to understand the history and current status of the home environment Changes to know
traditions and contributions to society hometown,students pride,self-confidence and sense of responsibility , and enhance love motherland , love their hometown. In practice activities,through the combination of theory and practice,so that students apply their knowledge. In establish the scientific concept of development at the same
time , develop their comprehensive practical ability , which is required overall development of students. And also the need for sustainable development and social
geography education. However , since the depth of reform is not enough , local geography in school education and unappreciated. Main features: social development speed,local geography teaching old,changes behind the times; less local geography
