PAGE PAGE 3 Abstract Media and justice are two important forces of maintaining social fairness and justice.The ultimate goal of the media and the justice is in order to achieve our social harmony.Media freedom ,judicial justice and social harmony are complementary to each other.In the course of building a harmony society in China today,how to think about the realation of media and the justice,how to make the media and the judicial reach to the balance of the benign interaction .What is worth to our pondering and discussion.How to perfect and improve the contemporary judicial system,is that we have to face in the social transformation period.Thus, the reflection for hundreds of years ago, the period of the republic of China to the modern transition of Chinese traditional legal system is of great historical significance and realistic value.Eastward spread of western culture in modem China，the western legal cultures began to spread in China,as the main disseminators of western legal culture ,missionaries, western businessmen, foreign students have played an important role in translating lawbooks , establishing legal schools and starting modern publication. Modern newspapers and periodicals are an important medium of dissemination of western culture.In numerous newspapers and magazines,because of its unique media smell and business philosophy , Shendaily has an important role in the spread of western legal culture. In 1912 ,the establishment of nanjing temporary government of the republic of China,opened a new era of Chinas bourgeois democratic legal system.1912-1916 is the establishment of the republic of China initial stage,is formulated and promulgated important period of the new law.During this period,as a representative of the print of the Shendaily,Shendaily is the important carrier of the spread of western legal culture.
