Abstract As China has entered the aging society, the social security system and family security system are facing an increasing pressure. Undoubtedly, to find a suitable endowment method for china is the key to solve these problems. The practice of the United States and Europe proved that the Housing Endowment to be a better solution to the pension problems. This paper first introduces four countries-the United States, Canada, Singapore and the United Kingdom. They had successful experience on carrying out the Housing Endowment. Then it detailing the Housing Endowment in those countries and introducing the conditions of these countries to take the Housing Endowment and the payment method. By analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, we can learn from their successful experience and to avoid the negative factors. Then, it analyzing the international practice of Housing Endowment, and giving a comprehensive overview of the Housing Endowment. This paper analyzes the international experience on Housing Endowment. For one thing, it can give a comprehensive introduction on Housing Endowment, for another, it can summary several major problems in Housing Endowment and the solution to solve this problems. Then the paper focuses on the practice in the Housing Endowment in China. Through the analysis of four different Housing Endowment methods which carried out by four different agencies-the Tangshan nursing home and Happiness insurance companies, Shanghai Provident Fund Centre and CITIC Bank, summed up the problems in China in Housing Endowment. Then, it made some specific solutions for these difficulties, designed to explore a suitable mode for the Housing Endowment in China.
