Empirical Research on Key dimensions of Entrepreneurial Leadership Abstract Entrepreneurial leadership is a behavior process leading followers to identify and pursue opportunity to explore new business. We suggest a six-dimension entrepreneurial leadership model at first, and investigate with an open questionnaire to verify this model. Base on entrepreneurial leadership and investigation, we present an eight-dimension entrepreneurial leadership model: business acumen, innovation, implementation, competition, elaboration, risk-taking, vision and motivating others. Entrepreneur is an exploring process, entrepreneurial leader need develop business acumen to discover opportunities or create opportunities by innovating, lead followers to pursue opportunities and implement plan stoutly, found advantages through intensely competition, and found survive-and-develop foundation for company through elaboration finally. During this process, entrepreneurial leader must take the risk within entrepreneur and reduce uncertainty for followers. Meanwhile, entrepreneurial leader need found an inspiring vision to attract plenty of followers with entrepreneurial intention and motivate them effectively to hold them together for entrepreneur target. Based on the document review and open questionnaire investigate, we represent an eight-dimention entrepreneurial leadership model. In order to verify this hypothesis, we design an eight-dimention-and-39-item entrepreneurial leadership questionnaire. We collect 208 entrepreneurial companies’ information, and verify our hypothesis via exploresive factor analysis, internal consistant analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Finally, we get a three-dimention entrepreneurial leadership model, which includes business exploiting, elaboration and employee motivating.
