同时，发展休闲农业还有助于个人收入及个人受教育程度的提高，并 以此进一步促进当地农民的现代性水平提升。 关键词：个人现代性；休闲农业；量化分析；实证研究 Study on the Positive Effects of Leisure Agriculture on Peasant’s Modernity ——A Case Study Based on Sanjiang Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi ABSTRACT As Chinese society and economy prosper, the intense living presures, fast living tempo and high industry pollution in the city have triggered the demand for more leisure at the countryside for the urban residents. In China, leisure agriculture just begins to unfold itself in the market and many peasants who are working for the leisure agriculture industry start to get themselves rid of poverty and uplift their living standard. During this process, their modernity also changes along the way. The paper utilize 6 dimension, namely the willingness to accept new things, importance attached to education, willingness to get away with traditional industry, habit of planning, importance attached to specific skills or techniques and honesty, extracted from the 12 modernity dimensions proposed by Inkeles to gauge the modernity levels in two countries with one called Danzhou County which now develops leisure agriculture and the other called Jingdai County that follow traditional agriculture. Questionnaires have been sent to the local residents of the two counties to collect concerning data which have been later analyzed and compared by SPSS 20.0 with an attempt to figure out the distinctions between the two counties in terms of modernity and to explore the correlations between leisure agriculture and modernity levels. Data from the studies shows that the county conducting leisure agriculture is superior to the other in all six modernity dimensions. The reasons that contributed to the difference may lie in the fact that leisure agriculture helps the local residents to better communicate with people around and outside and to learn urban living experience so that the traditional agricultural model has been transformed and the peasants become more mo
