Abstract The architecture design of children’s hospital is a symbol of civilization. Its development is highly relevant to the living standards. Nowadays, the design of the children’s hospital is obviously behind the development the times, and the concept of design is also not as advanced as that in western countries. As a result, it is of great important to find a way to develop the design of hospital to make it suitable for the current situation of China and the development of the architecture of hospitals. To create good surroundings to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the sick children and to make the hospital a “paradise of health” becomes to be the principle of the design of the children hospital. Medicine profession focuses on the idea of returning back to children, back to nature, back to family. At the same time, the concept of design based on the attention to the psychological behavior of the sick children and their parents as well as the convenience of the hospital staff is considered as important as the concept of biological medicine. As the basic equipment of children medical treatment, children hospital also serves as the center of health care and the disease prevention. Children hospital has become the focus of public attention. Undoubtedly, beautiful, lively and child-oriented medical condition is the necessary element of the design of children hospital. In this thesis, taking children, their parents and doctors into consideration, the author employs the theory of child psychology, environment behavior science and the design of the architecture of hospital to analyze the composition of the potential patients and that of the needs of the child patient and the interaction between the child patient and the medical treatment condition. As for the existing issues in the medical treatment condition, the author made a lot of questionnaires and field investigation. With the reference of the successful cases of the hospital design at home
