Abstract With the rapid development of social economy, urban medium voltage distribution network play an increasingly significant role in the national life. As an important part of urban distribution, medium voltage distribution network is the key links connecting high-voltage with low-voltage distribution networks. When medium voltage distribution network is operating reliably, economically and efficiently, the entire power system will have a good performance. It is significant for development of the city power grid that urban medium voltage distribution network has a reasonable structure, flexible operation and convenient maintenance, economic investment. The power supply mode of medium voltage power distribution network directly affects power system reliability and power quality. A reasonable and effective power supply mode, can greatly improve the power supply quality, and access to good social and economic benefits. This paper choose those evaluation indexes which could properly reflect the characteristics of power supply mode, based on reliability, economy, and adaptability, to establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation system for medium voltage power distribution network power supply mode and give the calculation method for each selected index, after summarizing the current urban medium voltage distribution grid network structure. Then this paper makes an AHP comprehensive analysis process for the evaluation system. Taking into account the AHP own shortcomings, improved AHP has been put forward, combined with data envelopment analysis, fuzzy decision-making methods. At last establish the improved comprehensive evaluation models, and apply the improved model to evaluate medium voltage power distribution network power supply model.
