AbstractPeer-to．Peer Abstract Peer-to．Peer network is a focus of research and attentions in the fields of computer in recent years，and it has been applied in many fields．However,due to its characteristics of decentralization,autonomy，dynamics，self-organization and heterogeneity，which have brought about great challenges to security issue．But these security issues have been gotten certain solution in the JXTA platform．JXTA is all open P2P project by Sun Corp．Its target is to extract the general requirements form all P2P systems，SO as to create common underneath protocols，which used to normalize and standardize all kinds of P2P core，services and applications．It is easy to develop efficient and secure network application system on different platforms by JXTA platform． T【lis paper primarily discusses what I have designed and implemented a system model named XIDIANTALK。With the JXTA technique，the project has realized the management of the peer module of groups，and alSO has realized a secure instant communicating module which Can process instant textual message between peers or among all peers in a peer group． ne main research and implementation work of this paper are as follows． (a) Introduce the research background and research inland／overseas actuality； (b)Explore P2P network technology， including P2P network structure， characteristics and its safety； (c)Introduce JXTA technology，including its basic concepts，JXTA network architecture and protocol family，and focus on the JXTA security； (d)Analyze the functions of XtDtANTALK,make overall design and divide the system into run．ion modules； (e)Analyze，design and implement the system’s main function modules，including peer group management module，security instant message transmission module； ①Test the modules in the XIDIANTALK system,validating its feasibility and correctness． Through testing，all functions of XIDIANTALK system in this paper have been completely implemented． Keyword：P2P JXTA instant communicating group mana
