AbstractStudy Abstract Study on Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi’S literature theory Theory of Literature and Art Postgraduate：Bai Hong Supervisor：Liu Chaoqian Abstract：Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi，who was called ErCheng．They were the famous puritans in the Northern Song Dynasty．Their Neo Confucianism stands a important state in the national intellectual history,and their thoughts have impacted on the later age’S thoughts developing．Constantly concerned by the literary and art circles， their compile and comrnents aimoost be recorded in研Cheng Co／／ect．Although the two were idealists，there were many literary phenomenon and literary comments collected in ErCheng Collect．These a few isolated words and phrases，as well as scrappy conclusions made up their literary thought and theory．Compared with their thought， their literary theory hadn’t gotten enough attention．The comments about their theories of literature are controversial．So the research about Cheng Hao and Cheng H’S literary theory Can be positive． This paper’S composition is based on carding the systema of ErCheng Collect≥ literary thought and theory,and in comparison wim the literary thoughts of Su Shi。who is the great literator at the same age．To talk about the similarities and differences of the theories between the ErCheng and Su Shi．Study the feature of Cheng hao and Cheng Yi’S theories ofliterature and the reasonability ofthe theories’exist． Zhu Xi who inherited Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi’S(paticularly ChengYi) neo—confucianism and literary theory,and deeply developed their literary theory．Li Zhi who was the heresy and betrayer of Confucianism，criticized the Moralists and also treated‘‘TongXin”view as the centre of the literary theory commented the literary view of the idealists．This paper considered Zhu Xi and Li Zhi’S attitudes as individual，study the acceptance in the later ages’developing problems．To thoroughness the Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi’S literary theory,to make the fair and rational evaluation． Key words-Cheng Hao Cheng
