Abstract: OBJECTIVE o stndy the efficiency of thiamphenicol in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. METHODS
All the 260 patients w ere allocated into two groups randomly; 130 patients w ere treated by thiamphenicol and 130
cases by metronidazole for 7 days continuously. All pat ients w ere investigated in the t hree days after finishing t he
treatment, observing the side effects. RES LTS he efficient rate of treating baterial vaginosis with thiamphenicol
w as 95. 38% , t he other was 93.07% ( P 0.05) . he side effects of thiamphenicol was more little than the other.
CONCL SIONS he treatment bacterial vaginosis w ith thiamphenicol is effective and safe and the side effects is a
little.
