A bstrac t: The construction and properties of cyclodextrins are reviewed. The possiblemechanism of chiral separation of
cyclodextrins is explained briefly. The derivatives of cyclodextrins and their applications in chiral separation are intro-
duced. In recent years new derivativesof cyclodextrins and application of new methods expanded the area of chiralsepa-
ration of cyclodextrins.
