Teaching aims and requirements:
Knowledge objects:
A. Vocabulary: grow up , computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist
B. New language items:
What do you want to be when you grow up ? I’m going to be a basketball player.
How are you going to do that? I’m going to practice basketball every day.
Emotion objects:
Guide the students to make a life plan and try to realize their dreams.
Tell the students: No pains, no gains. Where there is a will, there is a way.
3. Focus and difficult points:
To grasp“ be going to do ”and the simple future tense.
Use the new language items freely for communication.
Teaching methods:
Task-based Language Teaching Method, Communicative Teaching Method,
Audiolingual Method , Situational Interest Teaching Method
Teaching procedures:
Step1. Revision and Leading-in
T shows the photos of her family , get the students to have a fast reading, do a memory test.
Step2. Self-exploration.
Get the students to study the new words by themselves or in groups.
Finish Activity 1a.
Step3. Cooperative Inquiry.
Guess the riddles and try to make up similar riddles.
Limited-time sketch about the words of jobs.

Pair work:
Dream Theatre, ask and answer about dreams and how to realize the dreams
Group work:
Make a survey among the students, ask one student to give a survey report as a representative.

Step5. Summary and homework.
Sum up the key points of this class and ask the students to write an article about
