Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science.
(Revision)
Teaching aims:
1. Review the main words and expressions.
2. Review the grammar: be going to
3. Be able to write a composition with the information in Unit 6.
4. Learn to make plans, and keep them.
Teaching steps:
Step 1. Leading in
So far we have finished Unit 6. Today let’s review it. At first let’s look at the aims.
(PPT shows the aims, and the teacher lead the Ss to learn it.)
Step 2. Words revision
T says, can you remember the words well? Let’s have a try.
(PPT shows the information, and the Ss pronouns and spell the words quickly.)
Step 3. Phrases revision
1. Great! You are so hard. Can you think of a phrase when you see a picture? But I’m not sure that. OK, let’s go.
(PPT shows Pictures and the Ss show the phrases.)
2. But next is hard, can you finish it?
(Show the pictures and let the Ss work in groups, try to find out more phrases.)
Step 4. Sentences in use
T asks, What resolutions do you make for the coming year? What are you going to do? ….(Then the Ss make sentences in groups. And show in class.)
Step 5. Grammar revision
What did we use the most? What grammar did we learn?
(One student lead the Ss to review.)
Step 6. Building and test
1. The Ss finish Ex. 1 by themselves.
2. The Ss check the answers in group.
3. Show their answers.
Step 7. Writing
1. Play an MV to help the Ss.
2. The Ss write the competition by themselves. (If the Ss finish it quickly, then show in class.)
Step 7. Sum up
Today we review Unit 6. And we know how to use. You are all great. At last, I’ll present you one saying, “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
Homework
1. Review unit 6.
