Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science.
Section A (1a-2c
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 词汇和常用表达;
① 能正确使用下列词汇:computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist, college。
② 能使用下列常用表达:grow up, be sure about, make sure, be able to, have to do with, write down。
2) 语法:
① 能正确使用“be going to”结构表示将来;
─ How are you going to do that?
─ I’m going to practice basketball every day.
─ Where are you going to work?
─ I’m going to work in Shanghai.
─ When are you going to start?
─ I’m going to start when I finish high school and college.
② 能正确使用“want to be”谈论未来的理想。
─ What do you want to be when you grow up?
─ I want to be a basketball player.
2. 情感目标:
通过本单元学习使学生能简单谈论对未来的打算,并为实现理想而不断努力。
3. 学习策略:
1) 能综合运用看、听、说和讨论等有效手段来获取信息;
2) 能借小组活动的机会,积极用英语与其他同学交流,谈论未来的理想职业
3) 能通过对未来话题的讨论,树立自己的生活目标和制定相应学习计划。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1) 学习“be going to”结构表示将来。
2) 学习本课时出现的重点句型,能在在不同情景下运用“be going to”结构。
2. 教学难点:“be going to”结构表达自己未来的打算,并树立自己的生活目标和制定相应学习计划
三、教学过程
Step1. Lead in
Watch a video about Wang Yaping. She has many jobs. Elicit many words about jobs。
Step2. Brain storming. (1a)
Ask students to give more words of jobs they know. Review and learn some words of jobs in the form of a competition. Rank the words
Step3. Learn and practice “What do you want to be when you grow up?”.
Step4. Having a dream is not enough. People need to do something for their jobs. Learn to make a plan. Show a picture of Wang Yaping’s childhood. Learn and practice “How are you going to do that?” Learn the simple future tense.
Step5. Listening practice. (1b)
Step6. Pair work. Work in pairs and talk about their future plans.
Step7. Listening practice. (2a2b)
Step8. Make a survey. Work in a group of six. Ask the reporter to tell the result of his group.
