一、教学目标:
1.能够听懂和学会使用一些常见的职业名称,如:computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, pilot, pianist, scientist等。
2.能够使用What do you want to be when you grow up? 和How are you going to do that?句型来简单谈论未来的理想。如:
---What do you want to be when you grow up?
---I want to be a computer programmer.
---How are you going to do that?
---I’m going to study computer science.
3.情感态度价值观目标:
每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。因此,通过本课时的学习可以激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,使他们更加有理想,并为实现自己的理想而不断努力。
二、教学重难点:
教学重点:
掌握和熟练运用一些基本的职业词汇。
能够运用What do you want to be when you grow up? 和How are you going to do that?句型结构来谈论未来的理想。

三、教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up.
Enjoy a song.
Step 2.Lead-in.
Chain work.
A:What do you want to be when you grow up?
B: I want to be a/an…
Step 3. Presentation.
Read an e-mail from my student and answer two questions:
What does she want to be when she grow up?
How is she going to do that?
Show some pictures to practice the two sentence patterns.
Step 4.Practice.
Do a survey.
Report time.
Step 5.Summary.
A good beginning is half done.
Work hard, you can make your dream come true.
Step 6. Homework:
Make a dream card about your dreams and your plans.
