AbstractThe Abstract The aim of this thesis is to create a new series of inorganic—organic hybrid materials based on isop01ymo}ybdate clusters by exploiting appropriate organic ligands as linkers．Ralional synthetic strategies and methods are also discussed． In this paper，research efforts are mainly focused on the isolation of hybrid isop01ymolybdate materials belonging to tWO new chosen systems，{3d／LN／Lo／Mo)and f4ffLo／Mo}(4f=rare earth elements，Lta=N donor ligands，Lo 2 O donor ligands)，in contrast to the widely investigated{3d／LN／Mo}(3d=transition metal elements)system，and expected to obtain novel compounds with remarkable structural features and attractive properties．Four new solids was hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis，IR，EPR，XPS，TG single crystal X—ray diffraction，or variable temperature magnetic susceptibility． 1．A novel compound，which is built from an unprecedented tetranuclear molybdenum oxide cluster covalently bonded 1；O two types ofcopper complexes．was synthesized and characterized by the introduction of mixed isonicotinate acid and 2,2一bipy ligands．Its magnetic behavior was also investigated． [{c ul。(2，2．bpy)}{Cu”(IN)2){M04012(OH)2)]1(INl=isonicotinate ion，2,2．bpy= 2,2-bipyridine) Compound 1 presents the first example of a 3-D inorganic-organic hybrid poIyoxomoIybdate containing two types of transition metal complex fragments，and also the first hybrid polymolybdate with mixed ligands． 2．A novel organic-inorganic hybrid compound was successfully isolated by the introduction ofmixed nitrogen and oxygen donor ligands via hydrothermal technology． [{Ca(2，2-bpy)}2(tp)M040i3]2(tp=terephthalate) Compound 2 features a layered network combination of mixed organodiamine and dicarboxylate ligands into one phase，in which a new type oftetramolybdate cluster OCCURS． 3．Two novel inorganic—organic hybrids based on rare·earth—organic complexes and octamolybdate clusters have been prepared and characterized by the introducti
