Teaching objectives:
1.Students will be able to read, recognize these words such as Dr. Martin Luther King, civil rights movement, Nobel Peace Prize ,in silence, 9·11 Event, the World Trade Center (the twin towers), terrorist, take down, shock and so on.
through reading the text.
2. Students will be able to understand the text through fast reading and detailed reading.
3. Students’ reading skills like skimming and scanning will be trained.
4. Students will have a clear structure of the text with the help of the blackboard design.
5. Students will know peace, love and helping with each other are important.

2. Use to short videos to introduce today’s topic- Martin Luther King’s death and the 9.11 Event.
Step 3 Reading
1. Pre-reading
1. Show the pictures of Martin Luther King and 9.11 Event as well as their descriptions with today’s new words and expressions aiming at helping students to get some background information and get prepared for reading the text.
2. Ask students to read the expressions again through making sentences.
