Ability goals Enable the students can understand the sentences written in Inversion. Enable the students to use inverted sentences correctly. 3. Learning strategy Help the students learn how to use Inversion correctly. ??? Guide the students to summarize the usage of Inversion. 4. Emotion ??? Try to appreciate the beauty of English when sentences are inverted 5. Culture ?? ?Try to tell the differences between English and Chinese. Ⅲ.Teaching methods? Task-based learning; cooperative learning; practice. Teaching procedures and ways Step 1.Observe: 学习倒装最为关键的第一步是要分清完全倒装和部分倒装。所以教师可以先向学生提供两组倒装句,如: 1. Only in this way can you make progress in your English. 2. Not until midnight did it stop raining. 3.Under the tree was sitting a charming girl. 4.“I love your。”said John. 教师可提醒学生特别注意谓语动词部分,学生对这两组例句进行自主观察,并找出这两类倒装句分别具有的特点,并自行归纳完全、部分倒装句型的特点,从而使学生对这两种倒装的区别留下鲜明深刻的印象。 Step 2.Explanation and Summary: 在教学不同的倒装句型时,把大量例句按其共性分类,使学生能够发现同一组例句所具有的共同点。如: 1) Only then did I realize that I was wrong. 2) Only in this way can we learn English well. 3) Only when the war was stopped were Iraqi people able to live happily. 4) Only if I get a good job will I make enough money. 学生在观察这些例句后,能注意到句首单词的特点和谓语部分的特点,并归纳这一部分倒装句型的语言规律。 在教学倒装结构中一些无需倒装的特殊情况时,提供了以下例句供学生观察辩析归纳: 1.???? Away he went. Away went he. 2.???? Only I know what an elephant is like. Only do I know what an elephant is like 3.???? Not only the students but the teachers wish for a holiday. Not only do the students but the teachers wish for a holiday. 4. “It was cold yesterday.” “So it was.” “So was it” 学生通过辩析例句对错,归纳了倒装句中的一些特殊情况,不但明确了语言规则,也在理解的基础上深刻记忆。 Step 3、Step 4 Practice for consolidation To understand the Grammar better, we’ll do some practice.
