The improvement of supplier performance evaluation system and supplier management level can make the company more competitive in the industry to make sure the achievement of company strategy goal. SO company is a foreign manufacture company, and the raw materials cost accounts for the large proportion of total cost. The main content of this thesis is how to improve the SO companys existing supplier performance evaluation system. The main contents are as follows: First of all, we investigate and analyze the status of current supplier management performance evaluation system, and find out the main problems are as follows: unreasonable supplier quality performance index, no supplier cost performance index, unreasonable supplier delivery index and no effective application of supplier performance evaluation. Secondly, we divide all suppliers into four types by Kraljic matrix theory to solve the problems above, design the suitable supplier performance evaluation index set according to the principle of balanced score card, and then define the weights of different types of performance evaluation indexes and calculation method. Finally, we discuss the implementation of the new performance evaluation system, find out that we need to build a reasonable system to make sure the implementation of the new supplier performance evaluation system,
