Then, the Runge-Kuttam ethod of order 4 isused to solve Lagrange. s Equations. Them ethod is numerically mi plemented and app lied to the evalua- tion of the natural frequencies, the shears at base and themaxmi um d isp lacem ent. s responses for three smal-l scale reinforced concrete frame-shear w all model structures w ith d ifferent heights of shear w al.l Good agreement of its predictionsw ith expermi ental resu lts confirm s its accuracy and efficiency. The present results show that it is not necessary to extend the shear w all over the entire height of the structure for some frame-w all structures and use of the transfermatrix techn ique and structuralmodel using w all elements is econom icalw ith respect to consumption of CPU tmi e, data preparation and man ipu lation efforts.
