Let them know how great mothers are and let them consider whether their behaviors at home are right or not. Let them think about the gratitude towards their parents.. 2.Hard and key points 1) Know how to appreciate English poems by explaining the rhythm and the repeated sentence structures to them. 2)Let them know how to use some verb phrases. 3. Analysis for the text This is the first time for the students to learn an English poem . It is important for them to know some traits of a poem in English. And during this course we will learn how to use the phrases in the text. 4.Teaching activities 1)Ask three questions to lead in the lesson . 2)Teach the new words and have a word competition. 3)Review and sing an old song Que Sera Sera to lead in the poem Mom Knows Best. 4)Listen to the tape of the poem, then go through the text explaining the language points. 5)Do some relative exercises and memorize the phrases. 6)Go through 3b, check the answers. 7)Hold an activity Free Hugs to express love to mothers as well as the others. 8)Homework : a) Go through 3c and write a short passage. b) Give a hug to the mother with a good wish to her. 5. Preparation for the course: A video of the song, listening material, software of the lesson
