ZHOU Tao, ZHANG Ming, ZHANG Lei, RAN Ke (Institute of Nuclear Thermal-Hydraulic Safety and Standardization, North China Electricity Power University, Beijing 102206, China) AAbstract:bstract Through the study of the characteristic of Chinas Generation II, Generation II+ and Generation III nuclear turbines parameters, compared with fossil turbines, the design parameters of supercritical nuclear power plant and supercritical thermal power plants were analyzed, the development of nuclear turbine was researched. The characteristics of existing PWR nuclear turbine parameters were obtained, such as: low main steam pressure, small superheat, less effective enthalpy drop, lager steam ﬂ ow. And the result is the thermal efﬁ ciency of nuclear power station is lower than thermal power station. Therefore, according to the characteristics and security of nuclear turbine parameters, two speciﬁ c measures to improve efﬁ ciency and increase power to develop advanced nuclear turbine in China was proposedand the necessity to develop SCWR was indicated.
