His work, Lost in the Funhouse, offers positions that refute the positions offered in the work preceding just as he exhorted in his Literature of Exhaustion. Significantly, Lost in the Funhouse ends with the affirmation of language’s materiality and shows the author’s profound interest in the process of artistic creation, naming literary experiments. In addition to that, these stories exemplify quite clearly the novelist’s aesthetic belief that language arises from love loss and love moves narrative creation.
