It's my great honor to have this opportunity to talk about my teachingideas.Today my topic is“What canyou do?” .My presentation consistsofthe following aspects. IAnalysisofteachingmaterials Theunit is from PEP English book,the first semester of grade 5.The topic ofthisunit is about individual abilities,while this lesson-Let’s spell is quite different from it.In this lesson, students are supposedto learn the two ways to pronounce “oo”: the short vowel /u/ and the long vowel /u:/. After learning this lesson, students willmastermorebasicrulesofphonicswithwhich they areeagertoprobetheotherrules. IIAnalysisof students Students in Grade 5 are active, curious and interested in new things. After learning English for 2 years, they have accumulated some basic English knowledge and are eager to explore the unknown and express their own opinion. However, students of this period have high self-esteem and unsteady nerves. Therefore, I will arrangediverse activitiesto attracttheir attention providingthemmorechancestopracticeEnglish.
