名人经典英文演讲 一、乔布斯斯坦福大学演讲 Thank you! 感谢大家！ I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. 今天我很荣幸能参加你们的毕业典礼, 而且是在这样一所世界顶尖的大学里。 Truth be told I never graduated from college. And this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. 说实话，我大学都还没毕业，所以这该是我离大学毕业最接近的一次了。 Today I wanna tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal, just three stories. 今天我想跟大家分享一下我人生中的三个故事。仅此而已，没什么了不起的，只有三个小故事。 The first story is about connecting the dots. 第一个故事讲的是因果联系。 I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. They said: Of course. My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would go to college.
