It is the most widely circulated newspaper published in Washington, D.C., and the oldest extant in the area, founded in 1877. And it is located in the capital city of the United States . The Post is generally regarded as one of the leading daily American newspapers, along with The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Daily editions are printed for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia . The newspaper is published as abroadsheet , with photographs printed both in color and in black and white.
