However, severe problems and challenges still exist in rural economy and agriculture. Farmers are acting as the main historic roles in the reform. Considering the fact that 80 million of the poor population in China is still leading the lives as farmers, they should be viewed as an important part in the sustainable development of economy when we study that of economy in rural China and even in national economy. As the active laborers in rural economic development, the ones that embody rural production relations as well as the most active and revolutionary factors in rural production, farmers form the key points in the sustainable development of rural economy. Thus we say that the sustainable development of agriculture and rural economy ranks in the significant tasks in China's modernization, and stands as the precondition and basis of the whole country's stabilization and development. Ecological environment, the elementary conditions for people to survive in, is also the foundation of economy sustainable development and steady social progress. The rapid degeneration of rural ecological environment in China has seriously influenced the sustainable development of rural economy. Because of the important role rural economy plays in the development of national economy, creating sound ecological environment in rural China has become an urgent affair in its economic development. On the basis of China's national conditions under this stage, the article analyzes the two major contradictions generally existed in rural areas and the necessity to realize the sustainable development of rural economy, brings forward the writer's own view and suggestion on the topics such as the growth of farmers' income, the difficulty in rural
