Key Words and expressions related to Party dormitory: (noun) (informal: dorm) a large room containing many beds in a school or university.寝室 travel agent: a person or company that arranges tickets, hotel rooms, etc. for people going on holiday or making a journey 旅行社 figure out: to finally understand something or someone, or find the solution to a problem after a lot of thought. 理解,找出办法。E.g. can you figure out the answer to this question? sublet: (verb) to allow someone to rent all or part of a house or other building which you are renting from someone else.转租 E.g. our rental contract states that we are not allowed to sublet the house. mention: (verb) to speak about something briefly, giving little detail or using few words. 提到E.g. I’ll mention your ideas to Susan. [+that] He mentioned once that he would leave his job. [+v.-ing] Mary mentioned seeing you the other day. Not to mention:更不用说 He is one of the most intelligent, not to mention handsome men I know. Don’t mention it:不用谢 --‘Thanks for your help’ --‘Don’t mention it’ a get together: an informal meeting or social gathering e.g. a family get together Step 1 Open class with discussion: how is an American party like? (5 minutes) Suggested answer: A typical American party is usually great fun that lots of boys and girls get together drinking alcohol, eating snacks, chatting, dancing and so on. Step 2 Group discussion: what kind of party is a good one? (10 minutes) Suggested answer: It all depends on personal likes or dislikes. Some people prefer very hot and noisy parties where everyone turns crazy and drunk, but some enjoy rather quiet ones where people mainly talk and behave elegantly Step 3 Pair work (20 minutes) Students are supposed to discuss the following questions in pairs and then do presentat
