I nstitute of Road Engineering,South China University of Technol ogy,Guangzhou 510640,China Abstract :A big sa mp le of bea m s peci m ens of as phalt m ixtures was used t o carry out strain 2contr ol fatigue tests under the sa me condi 2ti ons .I M AQ digital i m age p r ocessing was used t o p r ocess and analyze the inner structure and compositi on of the flexural secti on at the centre of the bea m s peci m ens thr ough fatigue tests .I n this way,the indices of the inner structure and compositi on of as phalt m ixtures wre indentified .Further more,SPSS was used t o establish a model on relati onshi p bet w een results of fatigue tests and indices of its inner structure and compositi on .The analysis result shows that fatigue p r operties of as phaltm ixtures are directly correlated with the indices of its inner structure and compositi on,and the difference in the inner structure and compositi on of as phalt m ixtures causes the significant difference in fatigue p r operties under the sa me conditi ons,which unveils the la ws of effect of the inner structure and compositi on of as 2phalt m ixtures on fatigue p r operties .
