教学过程
Step 1 Free talk
T: Welcome back to school! Boys and girls.
?What date is it today??
?What day is it today?
T: Yes. It's the first day of the new term. Let's talk about our life in winter holiday.
Step 2 Presentation
1 T:?You ate so?much nice food. And?I found some of you are getting taller. S1, would you please stand up?
S1:
T: Oh, dear! You are taller than me. But I am taller than her.
Teach: tall, taller
Make sentences: xx is taller than me. xx is shorter than xx.
2 T: How old are you?
T: And you?
T: So you are younger than her. She is older than you. But you’re stronger.
3 Show some pictures and compare them.
4 Listen to the tape and read the words.
5?小结形容词比较级的规律
1) 单音节词末尾加-er, 如: taller, older, longer
2) 单音节词如果以-e结尾,只加-r.
3) 闭音节单词如末尾只有一个辅音字母,须双写这个字母,再加-er, 如bigger, thinner.
4) 少数以-y结尾的词,如果-y前是辅音字母,则变y为i,再加-er,如heavier.
Step 3 Consolidation
1、T: Look at the pictures of Part B, then use the new words, compare them.
e.g. Picture 3: The man is taller than the woman.
2、Ask the students to make the sentences like that.
eg: I'm thinner than xx.?? She is fatter than xx.
先教授B部分描述人的形容词,让学生结合班级中同学的真实情况,利用比较句型描述。
3. T:I'm taller than xx. Who's taller than me?
Present the sentence: Who is ... than ...?????? ... is.
Practise in pairs.
Make dialogues with the adj.s.
Step 4 作业布置
1 Copy the words in Part B.
2 Make the sentences like “ xx be动词+比较级 than xx.” .
