* * The Stratigraphic Horizons process consist of 4 steps Make Horizon process - Insert the input surfaces into the 3D Grid。 The inputs can be surfaces from seismic or well tops, line interpretations from seismic, or any other point or line data defining the surface。 Depth Conversion – If the inserted horizons and faults are built in time, the grid must be depth converted。 This process is skipped if the faults and input horizons are already in depth Make Zones – Additional horizons are inserted into the 3D Grid by stacking isochores up or down from the previously input horizons。 Layering – The final step is to make the fine-scale layering, necessary for property modeling。 These layers define the top and base of the cells of the 3D Grid。 * * Structural Framework –Make Horizons Exercise - GOAL In this exercise you will insert horizons into the 3D Grid (Skeleton framework)。 The horizons are in time, and they can be based on line/point data, seismic lines, 2D grids and/or well tops。 * * Make Horizons – Process Double click on the Make Horizon process to open its process dialog and select the Horizon tab。 In the table that appears, insert the number of horizons to be generated by either using the first icon (’append item in table’) or the icon with the ’N’ on do define the number of horizons to be inserted。 The ’Multiple drop’ option allows you to insert a list of items in one go into the Input#1 column: Make sure your input horizons are sorted in the correct stratigraphic order in the Petrel Explorer, then select the first item, and click on the first blue arrow under Input#1。 All the input horizons will then be inserted in the same order as they appear in the Petrel Explorer。 Under Type you should specify whether the horizon is an Erosional, General, Discontinuous or Base surface。 * The Erosional surface will erode surfaces below Surfaces above the Base will be onlapped to the Base。 * Surfaces above the Discontinuous surface will be onlapped on it and
