To get the author’s purpose and find the reasons of the changes of author’s feelings to Beijing Opera before, during and after the performance; Difficult points: To share the understanding of Beijing Opera to a friend from overseas 教学过程(表格描述) 教学环节 主要教学活动 设置意图 Step1 Warm-up Teacher plays a video about Peking Opera and ask Students to talk about what they have got from the video. To activate students’ background knowledge about Peking Opera and arouse their interests in Peking Opera. Teacher encourages students to share what they have got and encourages them to say more. Teacher asks students to look at the pictures of two performances and talk about their differences and similarities. Step 2 Prediction Teacher asks students to read the title and predict what the passage is mainly about. To train students’ prediction ability. Teacher asks Students to scan the text and check the prediction. Step 3 Fast-reading Teacher asks the students to read the passage quickly and find the main idea of each paragraph and tell when the evens of each paragraph happened. To guide students to have an overview of this passage. Step 4 Careful-reading Teacher asks students to read paragraph 1 and 2 to find the feelings and the reasons before the performance. Teacher explains the difficult points if necessary. To help students get the specific information about the changes and reasons of the author’s feelings and get the purpose of the writing.
