CHINESE CHEONGSAM (QIPAO) 中国旗袍（旗袍） The cheongsam is a female dress with distinctive Chinese features and enjoys a growing popularity in the international world of high fashion. 旗袍是富有中国特色的女性服饰并在世界日益普及成为国际高级时装。 The name cheongsam, meaning simply long dress, entered the English vocabulary from the dialect of Chinas Guangdong Province (Cantonese).
