I.Analysis of the reading material:
The reading material is about Thanksgiving Day in America. It is related to Ss’ daily life,which can easily attract their interests.What’s more,they will learn how to make turkey. They will take pride in so many delicious food in our country and they should learn to be a thankful person.
II.Teaching aims:

turkey; celebrate; traditional; cover with; mix up; fill with, traveler …
2.Sentences:
(1)In most countries,people usually eat traditional food on special holidays.
(2)Most Americans still celebrate this idea of giving thanks by having a big meal at home with their family.
(3)Here is one way to make turkey for a Thanksgiving dinner.

(1)Train Ss’ reading skills and learn to understand a passage in different ways.
(2)Express how to make turkey using first,next,then,finally.
3.Moral aims:
(1)Enjoy the process of making turkey and learn the spirit of giving thanks.
