Analysis of teaching material and the students The topic of this unit is different types of theme park, students are familiar with and interested in this topic. This is the reading part of this unit. It belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has a great effect on output, such as speaking and writing. Therefore this lesson plays an important part in the English teaching in this unit. The students are in senior 2. They have already mastered the basic words and expressions so they can do read and think independently. They are interested in learning English and quilt familiar with the Task-based Language Teaching model. Ⅱ. Teaching objectives By the end of this class, the students will be able to Language knowledge ①Learn and understand this new words and expressions:theme, various, fantasy, amusement, swing, attraction, be famous for, unique, tourism, no wonder, be modelled after ②Understand the differences between ordinary parks and theme parks. Language skills ①Use reading skills such as skimming and scanning to get the main idea and supportive information quickly and correctly. ②Learn to use the useful words, expressions and sentence structures in their writing. Affective & attitudes Have a clear understanding of amusement, and learn to release stress. Learning strategy Learn to learn individually and cooperatively, enhance their cooperation abilities through group work. Culture awareness Know more about the various theme parks all over the world. III. Teaching key & difficult points Teaching key points The useful words, expressions and sentence structure. The clear understanding about theme park. Teaching difficult points How to get students to master the main idea of the text and understand the text well. IV. Teach
