Overall, 82 percent of adults had a risk of less than 10 percent, 15 percent had a risk that fell between 1 0 to 20 percent. and 3 percent had a risk above 20 percent. The proportion of subjects in the highest risk group increased with advancing age, and men were more likely than women to be in this group. By contrast, race or ethnicity had little effect on risk distributions.
