PAGE 26 An Interpersonal Pragmatic Study of the Selected Series of Big Bang Theory Abstract Pragmatics has been continuously developing since it was proposed in the 1930s, with the emergence of a new branch, namely interpersonal pragmatics, in recent years. The scope of its research mainly involves pragmatics in social contexts, and the research involves external factors such as context and scenes, not just the language itself. At present, politeness principle and face theory are the core theories in interpersonal pragmatics. Based on the support of two theories, most of the interpersonal communication problems under normal circumstances can be studied. But the social environment is complicated.
