Step 1. Create plots and scenes and lead in
Show the pictures of Millie and Daniel.
T: I’m a teacher. You are my students. We live in Beijing. This is Millie. She lives in Beijing, too. This boy is Daniel. They like their school. It is big and nice.
Write down the sentences on the blackboard and underline the personal pronouns. Make students be clear what they replace in these sentences.
Step 2 Presentation
Write several sentences on the blackboard. Underline the personal pronouns. Ask students to say out what the pronouns replace in the sentences.
This is Tom .He is my best fiend.
Mrs. Brown is very nice. She often gives me sweets.
Sandy and Simon are in the classroom. They are having an Art lesson.
I have a dog. It is Hobo.

Ask students to do part A1, p35, check answers together.
Ask students to do English workbook p21
Step 4 Practice
Ask students to use the different personal pronouns to introduce his/ her friend in the class. When he/ she is over, next should try to introduce what he/ she just listened and add one sentence with another pronouns.
eg. S1: I am Millie. She is my new friend, Amy.
S2: She is Millie, she has a new friend, Amy. They like English very much.
