一．连词的含义 连词是一种虚词，在句中不能单独作句子的成分，也没有词形变化。它只起连接词与词，短语与短语或句子与句子的作用。 二．连词的种类连词分为并列连词和从属连词。 并列连词：分为常用和关联两种 ⑴常用并列连词：and but or so And 是常用的并列连词，它可以连接对等关系的词，短语或句子。常意为“和，又，同” ？ e.g I stayed at home and cleaned the house. You ,he and I must go. Let’s go and play football. But 是表示意义转折的连词，可连接两种并列成分或句子，连接成分只能是两个，表对比， 相当于 and yet .可意为“但是，然而” e.g : Not you but I am wrong . It’s a nice house ,but it doesn’t get a garden He is young ,but very experienced. Or 表选择，只选其一 e.g :Which is the biggest ,the sun the moon or the earth ? Mary or I am wrong. Don’t move, or I’ll shoot you . So 表示结果，连接句子。为了与前句连贯或表示惊异，so 可放在句首。
