The influences that thunderstorm brings to flight safety are as below.1. Stream of energetic electrons will brings lightning strike. Once aircraft encounters stream of energetic electrons, its radar cover, antenna and wing may be damaged, which could cause airframe ablation or even flight accidents. According to statistics, the icing occurrence rate when flying in CBs below zero degree Celsius is 89%; for strong icing, the occurrence rate is 42%. It can easily lead to engine flameout and aircraft aerodynamic performance will be severely reduced. Wind tunnel and flight experiment suggest that if icing on the leading edge or surface of wing is thicker than the thickness of one kraftpaper, lift will decrease by 30% with drag increasing by 40%.
