Firstly, the development history, advantages and application of cold-formed thin-walled steel members are introduced. Then, based on the application characteristics of composite walls in the engineering field, the role and advantages of composite walls in enhancing the overall shear performance of the wall are elaborated, and the construction forms and main materials of composite walls are introduced. Then, through a large amount of literature research and experimental analysis, the shear performance of composite walls with door and window openings is studied, and the influence of wall openings on its shear performance is discussed, and some reinforcement schemes are proposed. Finally, the significance of this study and the prospect of future work are summarized.
