ExecutiveSummary

TheSEDREAprojectwasintendedtocontributeto,atleastinthereductionofthegrowthrateofGHGemissionsfromdiesel-basedpowergenerationinPalau.TheprojectpurposewasthefacilitationofthereductionofimportedfossilfuelconsumptionthroughthewidespreadapplicationofRenewableEnergyTechnologies(RETs)notonlytomeettheelectricityneedsofthecountrybutalsoprovidetheotherenergyrequirementsforproductiveusesintheothermajorsectorsofthenationaleconomy.Themainoutcomeoftheprojectwastheeffectiveutilization,andrealizationofbenefitsfromtheuse,ofthecountry’sfeasibleRenewableEnergy(RE)resources.
