T1Example2:ThisisanexampleofaT1lesionintheleftlung(thenodulardensityintherightlunganteriorly[bluearrow]istheinferiormarginoftherightclavicularhead).Thetumormeasures1.8cminsizeandiscompletelysurroundedbylung.Athinlineardensityradiatestothepleuralsurfacefromthelesion-thisisreferredtoasapleuraltagwhichisfelttorepresenttumor-inducedthickeningoftheinterlobularsepta.Thereisafocaltriangular-shapedpleural-baseddensityidentifiedattheinsertionofthepleuraltag(blackarrow).Thisfindingisfelttobesecondarytothedesmoplasticreactionincitedbythetumor.Thereisretractionofthevisceralpleuratowardsthelesion,andasmallquantityoffluidcollectswithinthespaceformedbetweenthevisceralandparietalpleuraproducingthefindingidentifiedoncomputedtomography.Thefindingdoesnotindicatevisceralpleuralinvasion.
