;（一）发生及为害情况OccurrenceandDamage
稻飞虱俗名火蠓、响虫、火旋、稻虱子等，属同翅目飞虱科。国内发生为害较重的稻飞虱主要有褐飞虱、白背飞虱和灰飞虱，其中褐飞虱和白背飞虱具远距离迁飞习性，而且褐飞虱和白背飞虱在我市发生较重。
Riceplanthoppers,commonlyknownasfiremidges,ringingworms,firescrewworms,andricelice,belongtotheDelphacidaeofHomoptera.RiceplanthoppersthatcauseseriousdamageinChinamainlyincludebrownplanthoppers(Nilaparvatalugens(Stal)),white-backedplanthoppers(Sogatellafurcifera(Horváth)),andsmallbrownplanthoppers(Laodelphaxstriatellus(Fallén)).Thebrownplanthopperandwhite-backedplanthopperhavethehabitoflong-distancemigrationandoccurmoreseriouslyinourcity.
褐飞虱食性单一，在自然情况下仅在水稻和普通野生稻上可完成世代发育。

灰飞虱寄主除水稻外，还有大麦、小麦、玉米、稗、看麦娘、蟋蟀草、千金子、双穗雀稗、李氏禾等。Inadditiontorice,thehostsofsmallbrownplanthopperincludebarley,wheat,corn,barnyardgrass,amurfoxtail,goosegrass,moleplantseed,paspalumdistichum,andleersiahexandra.
;稻飞虱成、若虫常群集于稻丛下部刺吸汁液，造成各种不规则的白色或褐色条斑，并以产卵器刺伤叶鞘、嫩茎和叶中脉等组织，产卵于其中，使稻株枯黄或倒伏。

严重为害时，可在短期内导致全田叶片焦枯，状似火烧，稻丛基部变黑发臭，常引起烂杆倒伏，俗称“冒穿”、“穿顶”或“塌圈”，致使水稻减产，秕谷粒增加，??粒重显著下降，严重时颗粒无收。
