Thetwopiechartscomparethe20-yearchangesinregardtowaterconsumptionamongresidentsofUK.
Bathroomstartedoffthehighestamountin1988,withaquarteroftotalwaterconsumption,andthenexttwodecadeswitnesseda4%mount.Interestingly,thishadbeencompensatedbya4%dropfromtoiletwateruseto14%by2008.
However,theresearchedinhabitantsconsumedalmostasimilarproportionofwaterinclotheswashinginthoseyears,keepingstableatroughly20%.Additionally,theneedforwaterusedforfoodandkitchenwareshowedthemostobservablerise,doublingthevalueupto30%until2008.
Lastly,gardeningwaterusehaddeclinedsignificantlyfrom20%to8%inthisperiodandwasthelowestpartofwaterconsumerin2008.
Inconclusion,thedomesticwatersupplyinUKmainlyservedforhygienicpurposesandthefiveshownpurposeswerecomparativelystablefrom1988to2008.
