TheBankofKoreasetsandimplementsitsmonetaryandcreditpoliciesinorderto

contributetothesounddevelopmentofthenationaleconomybypursuingpricestability,and

intheprocesspaysattentiontofinancialstabilityaswell.

TheBankofKoreaActstipulatesthattheBankofKorea,tofulfillitsaccountability

correspondingtothesemandates,shouldcompileatleasttwiceeachyearareportonthe

implementationofitsmonetaryandcreditpolicies.

InlinewiththistheBankofKoreapreparestheMonetaryPolicyReport,containingthe

detailsofandbackgroundstoitsmonetarypolicydecisions,thefuturemonetarypolicy

directions,etc.,twotimesperyear,andsubmitsittotheNationalAssembly.

ThisSeptember2025MonetaryPolicyReporthasbeendrawnuptocoverthetimeperiod

fromaftertheMonetaryPolicyBoardmeetingformonetarypolicydecision-makingin

February2025throughthedateoftheMonetaryPolicyBoardmeetingformonetarypolicy

decision-makinginAugust2025.

WesincerelyhopethatthisMonetaryPolicyReportwillbeofhelpinensuringthatthe

publicwellunderstandstheBankofKorea’smonetarypolicyoperations,andformsrational

expectationsconcerningthefuturepolicydirections.
